Unauthorized Use of "My Heart" Condemned
Celebrity Musician Stands Up for Copyrights
In a bold move, Canadian singer Celine Dion has publicly denounced the use of her iconic song "My Heart" by former US President Donald Trump and his Republican candidate JD Vance.
Dion's management team and record label, Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc., issued a statement on Saturday expressing their firm opposition to the unauthorized use of her music.
"Celine Dion does not endorse the political candidates mentioned in the headline, or any political party or political organization," the statement reads.
"Dion and her management team are in no way affiliated with the campaign," they added, emphasizing that "the unauthorized use of 'My Heart' violates Dion's copyright."
