Quarterly Earnings Rise 18%
Microsoft's fiscal year 2024 second-quarter financial results, released today, April 25th, 2024, show a strong performance driven by increased demand for cloud services and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions.
Revenue for the quarter grew by 12% year-over-year, reaching $52.7 billion. Net income also saw a significant increase of 18%, climbing to $18.2 billion. The gains were largely attributed to the company's cloud computing platform, Azure, which saw revenue growth of 22%, and its AI-powered products, including ChatGPT.
