Celine Dion Denounces Unauthorized Use of Her Music by Trump

Former President's Campaign Rally Sparks Controversy

Celine Dion's Management Team and Record Label Release Statement

Former US President Donald Trump's use of Celine Dion's iconic hit "My Heart Will Go On" at a recent campaign rally in Montana has sparked controversy. The song, famously featured in the 1997 blockbuster movie Titanic, was played without the singer's permission, prompting Dion's management team and record label to issue a statement.

In a statement released on Saturday, Dion's team denounced the unauthorized use of her music. "In no way is this use authorized and Celine Dion does not endorse this or any similar use," the statement read. The artist's team emphasized that Dion did not give permission for her song to be used for political purposes.

The unauthorized use of Dion's music has raised concerns about copyright infringement and the potential misuse of celebrity endorsements. Dion's team has stated that they are considering legal action to protect the singer's rights.

Dion Denounces Trump and Vance

In a separate statement, Dion personally condemned Trump and Ohio Republican Senate nominee J.D. Vance for using her song without permission.

"I want to make it very clear that I do not endorse Mr. Trump or any of the political views expressed at this rally," Dion said. "My heart will go on to support all living beings, regardless of their political beliefs."

Outrage on Social Media

The unauthorized use of "My Heart Will Go On" has sparked outrage on social media, with many fans expressing their support for Dion and condemning Trump's actions.

Hashtags such as #CelineDion and #MyHeartWillGoOn have been trending on Twitter, with numerous celebrities and influencers weighing in on the controversy. The incident has reignited the debate over the importance of obtaining proper licensing for the use of copyrighted material.
