The Detroit Red Wings continued their strong showing in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft on Day 2, adding seven more promising prospects to their organization. The Red Wings selected seven players in total, including three forwards, three defensemen, and one goaltender.

Among the players selected by the Red Wings on Day 2 were:

  • Forward Anton Olsson (1st round, 15th overall)
  • Defenseman Simon Edvinsson (2nd round, 32nd overall)
  • Goaltender Jasper Wallstedt (3rd round, 71st overall)

The Red Wings' draft class is widely considered to be one of the most promising in recent years. The team has added a number of skilled and talented players who could make an impact at the NHL level in the near future.

The Red Wings will now turn their attention to the upcoming season, which begins in October. The team is hoping to build on its success from last season and make a run at the playoffs.
